Pearson/Brookes : saints

 

'saints' was commissioned by Chapter Arts Centre, as a propositional performance event, to be presented within the 'Cardiff City of Drama' festival of 2005.

For 'saints' Brookes and Pearson chose to gathered a crowd of fifteen collaborators, past and present, whose collective professional contribution to performance practice in Wales has spanned thirty years. The work combined performance fragments donated, and performed, by those collaborators - and took the form of an ensemble performance event, performed live and acustically, without any technical infrastructure, amongst a promenade audience, within a open stripped out studio space.

'saints' was realised by Dave Baird, Mike Brookes, Robert Delisle-Bowtell, Zoe Hammond, John Hardy, Eddy Ladd, Richard Morgan, Charlotte Nightingale, Roger Owen, Mike Pearson, Marc Rees, Louise Ritchie, John Rowley, Sian Thomas and James Tyson.
