{"id":1749,"date":"2016-02-21T12:22:36","date_gmt":"2016-02-21T11:22:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mikebrookes.com\/blog\/?p=1749"},"modified":"2022-11-12T21:46:14","modified_gmt":"2022-11-12T20:46:14","slug":"iliad-compressed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mikebrookes.com\/blog\/2016\/02\/iliad-compressed\/","title":{"rendered":"iliad [compressed]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the slightly refreshed perspective provided by a few months of hindsight, I have finally had a little time to start sorting through some of the documentation gathered during\u00a0our epic <em>ILIAD<\/em> project\u00a0\u2013\u00a0our durational verbatim performance of Christopher Logue&#8217;s poetic text <em>War Music<\/em>, and mine and Mike Pearson&#8217;s third large-scale collaboration with National Theatre Wales.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, over the past couple of weeks, I have been exploring the fixed camera &#8216;surveillance&#8217; footage recorded during our\u00a0first ever\u00a0all-day marathon performance of the full four-part work.
