{"id":2316,"date":"2021-06-25T10:53:00","date_gmt":"2021-06-25T09:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mikebrookes.com\/blog\/?p=2316"},"modified":"2022-11-17T20:49:45","modified_gmt":"2022-11-17T19:49:45","slug":"divine-matter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mikebrookes.com\/blog\/2021\/06\/divine-matter\/","title":{"rendered":"divine matter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Our new gallery work <em>Divine Matter<\/em> is now open, as an invited guest work and intervention within <em>Tot order es vol pur<\/em> \u2013 a retrospective of approaches and project works by N\u00faria G\u00fcell \u2013 at the centre for contemporary arts Fabra i Coats in Barcelona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebrookes.com\/media\/divinematter\/divine-matter-101-[900px].jpg\" alt=\"installation still\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mikebrookes.com\/media\/divinematter\/divine-matter-102-[900px].jpg\" alt=\"installation still\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The painter Pere Llobera, who we are collaborating with for this project, is working publicly on the copy of the mid-17th century depiction of Santa \u00c0gueda we have commissioned from him \u2013 within the gallery space, one day each week over the duration of the exhibition \u2013 while Rosa and I research the materials and relationships that come up through that process. We are curating an informal set of the images that emerge from that research, from found image files all publicly available on the web.
